I’ve loved Alan Rickman as an actor since Die Hard, and I fell completely for him in Sense and Sensibility, which I saw in theatres at the age of 12. From Hans to Snape and every character in between, he was brilliant and singular. And not only a brilliant actor, but also a wonderful, lovely human being. The world has lost a treasure today. Thank you, thank you, Mr Rickman, for everything you’ve done, both on and off screen. You will be tremendously mourned and missed.
